Cursed Prince by C.N. Crawford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Exciting first book!
This is an exciting opening to the Night Elves Trilogy! Ali is an assassin for the Night Elves and it’s her job to return an object hidden away in a safety deposit box. While on her mission, everything falls apart and she winds up in jail where she meets Marroc. Ali and Marroc escape and go on their own mission to free Marroc from his curse.
It’s always hard to learn a new world and new people. This author does a good job of introducing enough people so you have more than just the main characters, but not enough people that your head is spinning. There’s adventure, magic, a budding romance, and many other wonderful parts to this book.
I do have to throw this out there, because ever since I watched House of Wax when I was younger, I have issues with people losing fingers in books. I know a finger is a benign thing to lose compared to an entire arm or leg, but it unsettled me for some reason.
Anyhow, this is a great first book and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series. I hope you try it! Happy reading y’all!
