I love movies almost as much as I love reading. As a kid, we always did Family Night Movies on Friday/Saturday nights. We would all sit in our living room, eat pizza and/or popcorn, and watch a movie that we all chose. I remember watching Hook, The Lion King, Mrs. Doubtfire, and many more. As an adult, I’m continuing this tradition with my kids and want to share some of the movies we watch.
Besides movies, I’ve always watched a fair amount of TV. Right now, I don’t watch as much as I use to, but sometimes a great show comes along and I want to share my love of it. You’ll probably see less TV Show Reviews than Movies, but that’s okay, right?
Some things you should know in advance about me:
-
-
- Being a mom to 2 kids means the majority of my tv watching is kids media (tv shows, movies, etc.). Maybe I’ll add some of my favorite/least favorite kids shows, because as parents I think we’ll all agree that if we can prevent another parent from having to endure shows like Calliou or Thomas the Train, then we’ll all be a little more sane.
- I love Hallmark and Hallmark movies.
- I typically don’t watch horror movies anymore. I watched A LOT of them as a kid/teenager, but as an adult parent, I can’t do it. Too many of them involve children and there’s enough sadness/scary stuff in the world. I like to watch tv to relax, laugh, and take my mind off the issues in the world.
