Oh my goodness Hallmark! This did not disappoint! Here’s a quick recap and my two cents 😉

Quick Recap

Siblings Lindsay and Brad Morgan travel to Scotland where they find out their mother was suppose to be a Duchess. But she escaped to America with her American boyfriend. They married and had Lindsay and Brad. Now they are spending the holidays in Scotland to learn about their heritage and maybe learn a thing or two about themselves along the way.

My Two Cents

Not gonna lie, after watching Navigating Christmas last night and Christmas Island recently, I worried this would be too much family drama and not enough romance. Maybe it was, but it didn’t matter. It was perfect!

Following the siblings on their journey of discovering their Glencrave roots, restoring their relationship, and finding (or re-finding) love was exactly what I didn’t know I needed tonight.

Random question…am I the only one who kept calling it Glengarry/Glencarry? That must be a town in another Hallmark movie. Bonus points if anyone out there knows!

While I’m asking you questions…did anyone happen to notice the scene in the pub where Lindsay dances with another guy? Was that Will Kemp from Christmas Waltz? The guy looked super familiar and Lacey made a comment about only knowing how to waltz or something else. It instantly made me think of their movie together. I love Hallmark Easter Eggs!

Anyhow, from the whiskey contest to the dirty reindeer hot cocoa and Shetland ponies, this movie had a lot of fun and enjoyment. And if that wasn’t enough, the ending kept me on the edge of my seat!

Seriously! I was dying (and yelling at the tv a bit) while watching the clock – wondering how they were going to fit the classic Hallmark ending in with just a few minutes left, but they did!! Just barely! We even get a quick epilogue!

This movie really had me wishing I could live in a town like Glencrave and find out I was a secret Duchess. At this point in my life, I doubt that’s going to happen. Good thing I can live through Hallmark.

If you like movies that involve repairing family relationships, fixing a broken marriage, finding new love, small town coziness, sexy Scottish accents, and so much more, then I encourage you to watch this! It was definitely worth my evening and now I really can’t wait to watch Holiday Hotline!
