It’s been a few weeks since I sat here and felt like reviewing a movie. But I’ve been watching them and I hope you have too! There’s been a few must see movies that I’m glad I didn’t miss and The Wedding Cottage was a sweet movie to bring me back to writing. Here’s a quick recap and my two cents 😉

Quick Recap

After years of wedding planning, Vanessa wrote a new guidebook called Tying the Knot. To celebrate the release of her book, she’s planning a free wedding for a Veteran and his fiance. They pick The Wedding Cottage as their venue. Unfortunately, The Wedding Cottage is no longer a wedding venue. But that won’t deter Vanessa from trying to reopen it for the wedding!

My Two Cents

I’ve been very busy the last few weeks and by the time the Saturday night premiere movie started, I’ve been too exhausted to consider writing or the movie was so underwhelming that I didn’t finish watching it. But this was a great movie to bring me back to my happy place; writing reviews and watching sweet romance movies.

The Wedding Cottage captured my attention from the very beginning! I especially liked when Vanessa shows up at the cottage and Evan shoots down every attempt she makes at using The Wedding Cottage. Eventually her tenacity makes Evan agree and that one agreement leads to 5 weeks of them working together and becoming familiar with each other.

It wasn’t just the plot that made this movie special. I really loved Brendan Penny and Erin Krakow together in this movie! Their chemistry was on point throughout. Their characters fought, laughed, and fell in love and I felt every moment of it. It was classic Hallmark at it’s finest!

This movie might be up there with my other favorites like Love on the Sidelines and A Country Wedding. If you’re an It Was Always You fan, I think you’ll definitely like this one too. It had a lot of the same feels. So, if you’re looking for a sweet and cute romance movie to settle down with for the evening, definitely try this movie.

  1. I don’t do romance movies as a rule. I just don’t. I find them frivolous and predictable. But after watching this movie on a whim I went back and looked at everything else Brendan and Erin did in other things. I watched all six seasons of Chesapeake shores. But he’s better in this. I love this movie! I want to watch it again and again!
