Nice fantasy/sci-fi adventure book! I’m looking forward to reading more in this series!
Breena is a 40+ year old recently divorced woman who returns to her hometown of Savannah to get back to her roots. Her ex has stolen her grandmother’s house and she is trying to earn money to buy it back.
I really liked how Breena is starting to gain confidence and own herself in this first book. I love when she cops an attitude and kicks ass.
I’m nearing 40 and totally get all the body aches and pains that you don’t have at 20. I can also sympathize with a lot of Breena’s thoughts about the younger kids.
Even with all this good there were a few things that annoyed me. I didn’t like how Breena kept referring to her ex as Himself. I wish she would have used a different nickname or explained it a lot earlier in the book. Also, I got really tired of heard how old and out of shape she is. She did too. Lol.
Overall, this is a solid book and I’m looking forward to continuing with this series. If you’re looking for this type of book you might enjoy it. It’s worth the try. Happy reading y’all!!
Trés harsh breaking up with your girlfriend in the opening scene of the movie! Then walk outside to retrieve your car and unknowingly walk into the break-up boot camp mogul Miranda.
Ben’s situation doesn’t get any better when he sticks his foot in his mouth while trying to convince Miranda to go eat a piece of pizza instead of attending the boot camp 🙂
Ben shortly realizes who Miranda is, but stays in the boot camp anyway. What a trooper! Later, he’s asked by his boss to write an article for the magazine about the boot camp.
My Two Cents
I’ve tried for two days to find a fun/interesting way to write this post. I haven’t succeeded. I’ve even watched the movie twice. So, what’s the deal?
There’s a lot of good in this movie…
The Cast
If you’ve been reading my posts for a while, you’ll know how much I. LOVE. RYAN. Or as one of my friends says, I’m a total Paevey Freak. He can do no wrong. His acting is always on point. I love the salt and pepper thing he has going on with his hair. And his voice has enough gravel that I swoon just listening to him.
Besides Ryan, Italia Ricci is one of the leading ladies I enjoy. She’s super cute! Sadly, she doesn’t make me swoon quite as much as Ryan though 😉
The other supporting actors and actresses were all good too. I really enjoyed the boot camper who was on her second boot camp session. She would be a super fun girl to hang out with! Overall, the casting was really well done!
The Boot Camp
I loved the boot camp idea. Miranda created the boot camp to help heal her own broken heart. She empowers people to take control back of their own lives and begin their healing journey.
Along this journey, they meet other boot campers and do fun activities together. I wanted to join this group just to do the activities alone. Escape room, boxing, ropes course, etc. Yes please!
The Funny
There are a lot of cute and funny moments. I literally laughed out loud during the kick boxing session. I feel like that was an unscripted event and I totally loved it!
Miranda introducing the escape room to everyone was so dramatic! I jumped at first, but then I started giggling at her antics. Plus, while locked in the escape room, Ben and Miranda had the “vanilla ice cream” discussion. Ever since 50 Shades of Grey, I always get a kick out of these conversations 🙂
Boot Camp Miranda
I said earlier that I like Italia and I like a lot about the character Miranda, but I’m drawn to romcoms that are lighthearted and fun. I’m not even sure what to classify this movie as. I don’t think there are enough jokes to make this an actual romcom, but it’s not solidly in any other categories either.
Miranda feels sad and serious throughout most of the movie. And it’s not just Miranda. There are a lot of sad moments from other boot campers over coming their own broken hearts.
I think that’s what kept me from really enjoying it. I felt like the whole movie had this sad undercurrent. Miranda supposedly created this program around the process she took for healing her broken heart, but her heart was broken until it found Ben. Sure, she was living and thriving in her career, but she wasn’t whole. The only truly happy person in this whole movie was the 2nd time boot camper.
Overall
I wanted to like this movie a lot more than I actually did. The underlying sadness was too much for me. If you can overcome the sad aspects of this movie and enjoy the jokes and sweet romance, then this will be a good fit for you. If you’re looking for something funnier or sweeter, then look for something more like Chasing Waterfalls, It was Always You, or Taking a Shot at Love. Happy movie watching y’all!
I’m taking a break from ASEA reviews, to talk about something near and dear to my…butt – I bet you thought I was going to say heart haha
UNDERWEAR 🙂
I’m no longer a perma-wedgie thong wearing teenager. Nope, nope, nope. I’m a closer to 40 year old Mom looking for daily down there cheap comfort to match my yoga pants and sweatshirts. Gone are the days where I would spend $10 on a single pair of underwear.
Cheap might be the primary goal, but materials are always a big concern for this natural Momma. I want underwear that is 100% or nearly 100% cotton. Organic would be a plus, but it probably isn’t in my price range right now.
That shouldn’t be hard, right? Wrong! The majority of the underwear I found was 60% or less cotton. When did underwear materials start reading like a recipe’s ingredients list?
With my decision made, I chose the size based on the Amazon sizing guide. I looked up my jean size and went with the suggested underwear size. Definitely be honest about your jean size, because these fit true to size. This isn’t like when you tell the DMV you weight 10 lbs less. Pick your actual size!
Packaging
When they came, my first impression wasn’t very good. They come in very plain packaging. I know that shouldn’t matter, but we instinctively judge with our eyes first. Clear plastic with a white cardboard top with a simple black Amazon logo isn’t very attractive. Good thing the underwear themselves are.
Even though the packaging was plain, it was easy to open. Score for Amazon! There’s nothing worse than battling with a package like it’s an alligator doing a death roll refusing to let go of it’s prize. Just one flap to peel up and I had instant access to my new BBFs (best bikini friends).
Fit and Feel
Again, not impressive at first. They’re on the thinner side, but they are super soft. I was worried they wouldn’t be comfortable or wouldn’t hold up in the wash.
Both fears were unfounded. I’ve washed these half a dozen times and they’ve held up like they did in the first wash. I doubt these will last the 20 years my VS pairs have, but they seem decent for their price.
My biggest surprise was when I put them on. Holy cow! Amazon managed to make super comfy non-wedgie producing underwear! That’s like the holy grail of underwear for me.
There are no marks on my skin, no cutoff circulation to various body parts (yes – that can happen when leg holes become tourniquets), and I don’t need to adjust these at all during the day or night. This alone makes them worth their money. 🙂
Despite being comfortable and fitting well, these aren’t seamless, so if you’re looking for seamless, choose a different pair. I think I saw some specifically marked seamless.
After a few tries…
After my first few times wearing these, they have become my go-to underwear. You know those pairs you grab first after you do the laundry. So with Jeff’s blessing, I bought two more sets. Oops – new obsession in the works.
Both sets are bikini’s, but I’ll probably try a few other cuts in the future (see – obsession starting). At $2 per pair, these are budget friendly (totally rationalizing future purchases here).
If you’re looking for new underwear, I suggest giving these a try. Use the link below and you’ll help support this page without paying anything extra. 🙂 Happy underwear wearing y’all!
This really short book is cute and fun, but it’s not my speed.
I’m not going to lie, I downloaded it for the title. I enjoyed the idea of the dare, which is exactly what this book was. No more and no less.
Holly and Cameron were friends growing up, but Holly always had a crush on him.
Now, their friend Michelle is having a truth or dare contest of sorts. All dares must be completed with another person.
Holly chooses her crush, Cameron to do the dare with. The dare winds up being to kiss Cameron, take a video, and post it to social media.
I’ve just explained enough of the book to get you to 50%. If I give you anymore, you won’t need to read the book.
I was really hoping for more. More plot, more book, just more. I think this book took place over two days, but hours go missing. One minute Holly is making waffles and the next Cameron is ordering Chinese. Sorry guys, now you’re at 75% book completion.
The kissing scenes – crap 80%- were good and steamy. 🤣 Literally steamy 🤣 85%. Don’t expect more than heavy petting though. This is definitely PG-13 friendly. Sex isn’t mentioned or attempted.
There were also a few editing issues. The biggest was was Katia’s name was Katie in a few spots. I’m still not sure what her name actually is?
Overall, this book is fine. It’s really too short to be amazing. Personally, I wouldn’t read it. I’m sure you can figure out how it ends. Maybe read it if you only have a few hours to read and want to finish an entire book in that time. Otherwise move on folks, there’s plenty of other books out there. Happy reading y’all!!
Hallmark had me at “Don’t go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re use to…” One of my favorite 90’s songs! And yes, I did sing it EVERY SINGLE TIME the commercial came on. Jeff kept looking at me a little strangely, but that isn’t really different than normal. I give him lots of reasons to look at me strangely. 😉
Back to the movie Jamie.
Lets do a quick re-cap, then I’ll share my two cents on this corny cute movie.
Amy Atwater (hehe I giggled at the last name…Atwater…waterfalls – corny cuteness #1) is a photographer who primarily photographs people, but an opportunity comes up at work to take photographs of mystical waterfalls. Amy seizes the opportunity.
While trying to find her first waterfall, Amy befriends Mark North (who happens to have a great sense of direction – more corny cuteness) and his daughter Kyra. Amy asks them for directions while trying to figure out how return back to the lodge, but she winds up back at the waterfall.
Amy’s sense of direction isn’t the best. So, she asks Mark for his help locating the mystical/unicorn waterfalls. Mark eventually concedes, and him and Kyria take Amy around to the different waterfalls for her the magazine article.
OMG! Have I told you before that I love corny romcoms?? Corny jokes, corny names, and overall corny cuteness (is that a thing? Eh, it is now). I love it all!
I’m not alone in my corny attraction. As it turns out, Jeff likes corny romcoms too. Yup, he sat here laughing along with me. And yup, I took his man card. 🙂 Oh wait, did I just date myself? Are man cards still a thing? You’ll have to let me know.
Anyhow, this movie is super cute! Amy is such a sweet woman. Definitely directionally challenged, but kind hearted and funny too. In the very beginning of the movie, Amy takes a photo of an old man and his dog. Later she gives him the print of the picture at no charge. Awww…super sweet of her. Later in the movie, she helps Kyra with a boy she likes. It’s just in her to be nice.
I found myself wanting her to end up with a guy like Mark, who is also super sweet and corny. I loved his “Dad jokes,” and his daughter’s reaction to them. He was the perfect compliment to her.
Overall, this movie wasn’t unique or unpredictable, but it was all sorts of corny cute and adorable. Even Jeff gave it 👍 👍.
BONUS…halfway through the movie I found myself thinking, I’ve seen these two together before. A short google trip later and I found it! Love In the Forecast. Also a super cute movie! They can keep pairing these two together all day.
I hope you give this movie (and Love in the Forecast) a try if corny romcoms are your thing. They definitely are mine. Happy movie watching y’all!
Shortly after reading my first ASEA post, Jeff decided he would give ASEA a try. Jeff is very skeptical of all things I do. Rightfully so. When I brought home essential oils, I think he thought I was trying to kill him. He wasn’t too far off base as we quickly learned he has sensitivities to coconut and many essential oils. Poor Jeffy!
Even though he had some rough experiences with essential oils, he wanted to give ASEA a try after reading my and other people’s stories.
TASTE
With Jeff’s decision made, he geared up for his first cup of ASEA. He looked at it like a quarterback staring down the opposing team like they were about to attack him. In my head I was chanting, “Blue 52! Blue 52! Hut! Hut! Hike!” while he downed the 1 ounce shot glass as quickly as humanly possible.
Slightly cringing, he set down the glass and shook his head like a wet dog and instantly questioned his sanity (and mine).
My reaction was probably very similar to Jeff’s, but I like to imagine I was more like Cindy Crawford drinking Pepsi. Haha!
One thing was for certain…we both questioned why we were subjecting ourselves to something that tasted like salty chlorinated pool water.
ENERGY
Even though the taste was less than desirable, I was motivated to keep going. Throughout day 1 I noticed I had more energy than usual.
You should know that I can’t have caffeine. It impacts me greatly. I become extremely unfocused and over stimulated. So, energy boosting drinks have always been off limits.
However, this is NOT that type of energy! This is a constant energy that keeps me motivated and focused without the negative effects that caffeine causes me. Winner winner chicken 🍗 dinner!
Jeff doesn’t share my caffeine issues. He’s a caffeine drinker, but he’s also a napper. Ever since I met him he would nap most on Saturdays, Sundays, and other days he had off. Ally sometimes tucks him in with her stuffies. Isn’t he cute?!
The first day he had ASEA he didn’t nap. In fact, he hasn’t napped since starting. He’s also been more productive completing his honey-do list around the house 🙂 Yay for energy!
SLEEP
I’m ordinarily a fairly good sleeper. Most nights I fall asleep pretty quickly, but wake a few times to rearrange myself.
The first night I took ASEA I fell asleep quickly and slept FANTASTIC! I felt like I slept deeper/longer and questioned if I even woke once all night. I was refreshed and ready to start the next day. So, I decided it must be a fluke, but the “fluke” continued.
These days even if I get less than an ideal amount of sleep, I’m often well rested enough that I’m not dragging/tired during the day. If I am dragging (usually due to things outside my control – i.e. middle of the night kid interruptions), I have been known to increase my amount of ASEA for the day and feel better.
Jeff has more issues with sleeping. He wasn’t just a midday napper, he was also a cat napper before his actual bedtime. He would fall asleep on the couch watching tv around 7/8 PM and eventually make it to bed around 10PM.
After Jeff’s first two doses of ASEA, he stayed awake until 10PM with no naps! 😮 His “fluke” has continued too. In fact, I jokingly told Ellen, the friend who introduced me to ASEA, that I need to take Jeff off ASEA, because he has too much energy and is going to bed later. I’ve lost my me time! Haha. It’s okay though, because now we have more us time. And with 2 kids, us time is nice!
OVERALL
Our first impressions were very similar, but the ways ASEA continues to impact and support each of us appears to be tailored to what each of our bodies needs. Keep watching for more ASEA posts to see how else ASEA has impacted our lives.

Be still my geeky heart ❤️ This book is made for trivia loving, socially awkward geeks!
Zoey and Blake meet when Zoey crashes into his car. Zoey is the county coroner and Blake is an insurance agent. Through a serendipitous event where Zoey winds up doing the autopsy on someone who had a life insurance policy through Blake’s company, Zoey and Blake wind up working together to figure out how the man died.
There was a lot I enjoyed about this book! Zoey is my favorite type of character! She’s quirky, funny, and emotionally grows throughout the book. I loved her talking to dead bodies and the random trivia game her and Blake played.
More importantly, I think everyone deserves a boyfriend like Blake. He always puts Zoey first. He realized she was touching wooden objects for luck, so he went out and bought a bunch of wooden objects to put around his house, so she would always have something lucky to touch. And he embraces and loves everything that makes her who she is without trying to change her.
Give this book a try if it sounds like a good fit for you. It’s pretty good! Happy reading y’all!
Ugh! No new Hallmark movie this week! 🙁 Since Hallmark was a no go tonight, I thought I would tell you a little about this awesome Disney+ TV series that has me hooked!
It has a whole lot of spooky and just enough magic to keep my geeky witchy heart happy.
Savannah went missing decades ago. She disappeared and was never found. That’s the spooky!
Griffin moves into the Tremont Hotel, which his Dad (Ben), bought to fix up and re-open. On his first day of school, Griffin finds out his new home is famous because of Savannah’s disappearance. Plus, everyone says Savannah’s ghost haunts the Tremont. More Spooky!
Griffin befriends Harper and the two start exploring the Tremont together. Through their explorations, they discover an abandoned fallout shelter in the basement. Inside the fallout shelter is a long tunnel, which leads to stairs that open into the forest surrounding the hotel. When Griffin and Harper enter the forest, they discover they’re no longer in their time period. There’s the supernatural 🙂
Griffin and Harper see Savannah running through the forest and follow her back to the hotel. They decide to figure out what happened to Savannah and maybe even save her. To do this, they must take on secret identities (Harry Potter and Hermoine Granger – LOVED THIS!) and befriend Savannah and her friends – their parents.
I binge watched the 6 episodes that were available at the time and can’t wait to watch the next few as they come out!
In case you’re wondering I think this series is for an older group of kids or young at heart adults. I have a feeling my 4 year old would be scared if she watched this. My 8 year old might be too. It’s not that there’s anything bad that’s happened, but the music and overall feeling of the show is quite spooky.
Give this one a try if you like a little paranormal/magic with a whole lot of on the edge of your seat suspense. Happy TV watching y’all!
Meet my friend Rem (Remy). Remy recently celebrated his 1st birthday! Yay Remy! Isn’t he cute? He’s ALWAYS by my side.
One day in December I was working while Remy, Leo, and Ella were all outside playing.
December in Wisconsin is relatively cold to normal people. The average temperature was in the 30’s for a while. Nothing should have been living. We didn’t have any snow on the ground, so the dogs were enjoying the moderate temperatures. Yes, 30 is moderate in Wisconsin 🙂
When they all came in, Remy was laying by my side while I was working. He kept rubbing his face on everything in the room. I didn’t think too much of it, because Remy is a rubber. LOL. He rubs against things like walls and beds often.
I eventually finished a phone call I was on and took a good look at him…
Oh no! Remy! My baby! Both his eyes were swollen, although the left eye was much worse. What exactly happened to him? I’ll never know.
I’ve been on a natural path for about 8 years. Prior to that, I would have given him some Benadryl and let him sleep it off. If it didn’t resolve within a few hours, I would have contacted the vet for their opinion.
My natural path had brought me to ASEA over the summer (see my first post here). My new first instinct was to give him a few ounces of ASEA Redox Molecules. I knew he would drink it, because his breeder, Ellen, had introduced him (and me) to it when he was little. He also tried drinking it when I was trying to give it to Bailey. So, I gave him 2 ounces and rubbed some Renu 28 around his face too.
I messaged Ellen and sent her this picture. She immediately suggested doing some eye drops with the ASEA. 15 minutes after the eye drops and a few more rubs of Renu 28…
I’m not a great photographer 🙁 and he’s wiggly. But, I hope you can see all the redness and some puffiness went away. I was pretty impressed.
Later that same evening after a few more drops and Renu 28 applications…
Almost back to normal!! No drugs needed!
I continued doing drops a few more times and by the next day…
Isn’t he beautiful? He was 100% normal the next day.
ASEA and Renu28 continue to amaze me. Keep an eye out for more ASEA posts. There will be more 🙂 I’ve been saving these for a few months.

If you follow this blog and you’ve read my other Hallmark movie reviews, then you’ll know I don’t normally tear apart Hallmark movies. I accept them for what they are…often repeatable plot lines that have feel good endings. But this movie? It missed just about every mark.
If you’re thinking to yourself, Jamie just doesn’t like Royal movies. Not true! I love Royal movies. I always wanted to grow up, meet a secret Prince and be whisked away to a life of luxury. Just ask my parents.
If I like royal movies, then why did this movie fail to make a passing grade? Lets start with the obvious…
The lead character’s name is Cindy. Cindy – a nickname for Cinderella. Cindy is the head seamstress, who is hired to design gowns for a royal ball. There are even two girls referred to as evil step sisters (Brooke and Julia) who try to sabotage everything Cindy does.
This is setting up to be a cute Cinderella parody. So why not continue the theme? Why not add an evil step mother, fairy god mother, dropped glass slipper, horse drawn carriage, or play with character’s names like they did with If I Only Had Christmas?
While I mostly missed it the first time, If I only Had Christmas was a parody of The Wizard of Oz. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Wizard of Oz, so I noticed a few of the nuances, but the second time I watched it, I noticed a whole lot more. And they were really well done! This movie? *SMH* HALLMARK you need to commit like you did with If I Only Had Christmas or give Cindy a new name.
That’s enough time droning on about Cinderella and The Wizard of Oz.
There were also several scenes that I’m sure were suppose to be funny, but they fell flat. There’s one where Cindy is trying to get into a building and the security man keeps asking her the same questions repeatedly. I’m sure it was suppose to be funny, but it was just ridiculous. He asked the same exact question repeatedly and she was talking perfectly clearly.
Maybe it would have been better if we had heard and saw what the security guy heard/saw? I’m not sure, but I guess he must have heard her eventually, because the next thing we see is Cindy walking down the hallway to meet with Gloria.
And that ending! UGH!! **Spoiler Alert** Partnership? PARTNERSHIP?! Cindy accepts a partnership when she could have her own brand/company?! Why??? I was really lost on that one. Plus, what’s going to happen when she’s whisked away to be with Prince Ronan?
Then there were the nit picky items like fake British accents, bra straps and bras showing way too often, and multiple awkward moments added to my already failing opinion.
Overall, I can’t recommend this movie. If Hallmark had fully committed to a Cinderella parody, it could have been great, but they didn’t. So, here we sit disappointed in what could have been. Hopefully next week’s movie will be better.
This whole series is phenomenal! I think I’m going to continue to read these books until I’m sick of Greek mythology. Haha.
In this book, Persephone faces her final trials. Her brother Sam comes from the mortal world to Olympus with her. Persephone and Hades discover who is after her and what their end game is and we find out who will be Hades’ new bride.
Everything about this book was done so well. We even got to see Buddy come back for one final scene. The writer(s) did a great job of bringing everything together and tying up most loose ends, but allowing room for spin offs and sequels.
If you enjoy Greek mythology, you should be reading this series! These are quick reads that you won’t be able to put down. Happy reading y’all!!
Oh Roomba oh Roomba, how do I love thee? Let me share the ways…
For those of you who haven’t read my review of the Dyson/Shark vacuum cleaners, let me tell you a little about my house.
We live in a ranch. It has a basement, so we have some stairs. There’s a baby/child gate at the top of the stairs to keep the dogs from going down there.
We have a vacuum solely for the basement. It’s an old Dyson in case you’re curious.
We have 2 shedding dogs, 1 non-shedding dog, 2 people with long hair, and 2 people with short hair in our house. In other words, this is a HAIRY HOUSEHOLD!
Our house is carpet in all the living areas, wood floor in the kitchen and entryways, and tile in the bathrooms. Lots of transitions between rooms.
Now that we’ve covered the basics, lets get to the good stuff.
FAVORITE FEATURE My favorite feature of this Roomba is the corresponding iOS App. The App allows me to name the Roomba (LOVE THIS!). In case you’re curious, our Roomba’s name is George.
George maps my house and displays the map on the App. Then I can go in and name rooms (not quite as cool as naming George, but still fun), add zones to clean or keep out of, schedule cleaning jobs, see cleaning history, and so much more!
While the App is fun, I’m sure you’re asking…but Jamie, how well does he clean? We’ve had George for a little over a year. So I’m been able to judge his performance pretty well.
PERFORMANCE George cleans everything really well, but he does the absolute best on our wood floors. We still need to use our regular vacuum about once a week in the high traffic carpeted areas, but otherwise we don’t really need to vacuum anywhere else. He even gets the impossible to get places, like under beds! LOVE THIS!
I have some mats that George easily cleans, but I have others that I need to pickup prior to letting George clean. He tries really hard to clean everywhere, he even tries to go under my couches! A for effort George!
MAINTENANCE/ONGOING COST I mentioned earlier that we’re a hairy household. Because of this we need to clean and replace George’s rollers more often than other people I know. I replace the rollers about once a month – less if I use him less. I clean the rollers after every room. The dog/human hair gets wrapped around the rollers and edges of the rollers. It’s become a habit now and less time consuming than pulling out the Shark, so I’m good with it. If I get lazy, George will stop cleaning and tell me his rollers need to be cleaned. Sometimes I swear it’s like I have another child…at least he doesn’t whine!
Anyhow, the roller replacement doesn’t come cheap. If I order directly from the Roomba website (https://store.irobot.com/default/parts-and-accessories/roomba-accessories/i-series/) I pay $35 per roller set. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to pay $35/month to keep George healthy. So, I turned to Amazon. I buy a pack that includes 2 roller sets, some filters, and roller wheels for $22. This pack is okay, but the rollers are louder than the OEM ones. I’ve linked the set I use at the bottom of this review.
QUIRKY BEHAVIOR Lately George has had a few…episodes. Maybe he’s getting senile in his old age? He sometimes seems to get confused about what to do when he’s done with a job. I’ll tell him to clean the living room and when he’s done, sometimes I’ll find him in my bedroom.
This seems to happen after he was stuck in a room and I needed to rescue him. He tends to lock himself in my master closet if I tell him to clean in there. So, I think it’s some sort of programming error after being rescued. It doesn’t cause any issues for us, so I just send him home, shake my head and move on with life. If I wasn’t home, I wouldn’t even know about George’s little escapades, because he eventually returns home on his own.
PETS We were originally worried about getting George, because we had 2 senior dogs at the time. As it turned out, those two dogs didn’t care about George at all. They watched him the first time he ran, then just ignored him. Our fears were completely unfounded.
A few months after George came into our lives, we decided to get 2 puppies. The puppies were slightly more interested in George, but they wound up mostly ignoring him too. They’re almost a year old and completely ignore him now. They even let George run right into them.
WOULD I BUY ANOTHER? Overall, George is definitely worth owning. He keeps the house clean so I’m not worried if someone unexpectedly shows up. Prior to having him, we had a lot of issues with dog hair everywhere. We just couldn’t keep up with the vacuuming necessary for all the people/pets.
If you use the links below, you’re helping support my page, but you won’t be paying any extra than going to Amazon on your own.
Wow! This series has me hooked! I can’t wait to start the next book!
Persy moves onto round two of the trials and regains some of her previous power. In this book she faces some scary sea monsters and endurance tests. She also starts regaining her bond with Hades. Yay!!
There was more sex related scenes in this book than the last. I have no doubt that if this book continues on its current path, there will be some sex scenes in our future.
There is so much action, adventure, romance, and mystery in this book that it’s very difficult to put down! Luckily, it’s also short, so you won’t be lacking sleep for too long while you stay up reading it. 😂
Give this series a try if Greek mythology is your thing. This is definitely worth it! Happy reading y’all!!
Lizzy, I love you! You’re cute, quirky, organized, awkward, and most importantly…you love lists!
My family has often joked that I’ve had a list since the day I was born. They weren’t wrong. The most recent list looked something like:
✅ Graduate college ✅ Find a job ✅ Marry an awesome man ✅ Buy a house ✅ Have Dogs ✅ Have Kids
List making fills my soul with happiness. And yup, I’m doing good with my current list, but that’s not why we’re here…we’re here to talk about this movie!
Lizzy’s list making makes it seem like George would be a good fit. George is Mr. Safety man. He’s risk averse, which makes everything he does predictable and reliable and easy to plan, but also incredibly boring and dull.
I LOVED his reaction to having Oysters! Oh George, so predictable. Of course you wouldn’t eat oysters. Of course you would wonder how many people die from eating raw Oysters per year.
FYI – Google says about 100 people per year die in the US from eating raw oysters.
List makers and organizers DO NOT need Georges in their life. They need people who will help them let go, laugh, dance, be spontaneous, and forget their lists – but only sometimes because sometimes lists are necessary. List makers need someone like David!
David who pretended to pass out due to a peanut allergy. Who tells you you’re a neopolitan sundae. Or takes blame for something he didn’t do to protect Lizzy. Or keeps a rabbit foot as a reminder of the girl he secretly loves. List makers need Davids in their life.
It’s no surprise then that David and Lizzy wind up needing to plan her and George’s wedding and in doing so, Lizzy realizes what she’s missing in her relationship.
There were so many cute jokes and scenes in this movie! Oh, and the music! Hallmark has really upped their music prowess this year. You are So Beautiful is one of my favorite songs. Jeff and I sing it to our dog Ella all the time.
Overall, this movie is really good and sweet. The ending had a little “Arg! Why’d you do that?!” moment, but I’m going to forgive it. I get why they did what they did. Even though it wasn’t how I wanted to see it play out, it still had a Hallmark happily ever after. Give this movie a try y’all! Happy movie watching!!
Fair warning…this is probably going to be long and I’m really nervous putting this much information about myself out here, but if it helps someone, then I want to do it ❤ Let’s talk about ASEA Redox Molecules and emotions!
I’ve had anxiety for a long time. In the 1990’s I had my first big anxiety attack. Let’s jump in my time machine and head back to the 90’s. Do you have your Delorean and flux capacitor ready? No? Darn, let’s pretend we do. 🙂
When I was around 13, my family went to Disney World. I remember standing in line and suddenly I had these racing thoughts. I was worried I couldn’t escape the park. I was hot, sweaty, and just needed to escape, but I couldn’t. The sun was bearing down on me, people were all standing much too close, and there was no escape. I still remember that feeling of helplessness and everything closing in on me.
My family said my eyes started to roll to the back of my head. I remember the blackness and stars entering my peripheral vision. I started to pass out. My family all thought it was dehydration. I’m sure dehydration played a role, but in retrospect, I’m fairly certain that was my first real big anxiety attack. As I grew up, I would often have attacks in crowds or when I felt like I didn’t have an exit.
That was my embarrassing first anxiety experience. It wasn’t my last, but lets return to more recent events…
I was officially diagnosed with anxiety in my 20’s. I decided not to medicate. I was a stubborn/invincible 20 year old and certain that knowledge is power and I can beat anything. **Jamie shakes her head at her 20 year old self**
I researched anxiety/depression and over the years, I found diet, essential oils, meditation, and other calming techniques were able to reduce the symptoms and attacks. I never got close to passing out again. Yay!! People like it when you don’t pass out on them 🙂
With my anxiety managed, I thought I was healthy. I thought 1 major anxiety attack a month was under control. I mean 1 attack per month is a lot better than 3! Right? Right!
Anyhow, I knew a friend of mine was using a product called ASEA, but I wasn’t ready to take that jump yet. She had been mentioning many of the physical benefits and I thought most of my issues were more ‘mental’. Plus, I thought I was mostly fine and the cost outweighed the benefit.
Then, August 2020 happened…
Our 11.5 year old golden retriever, Bailey (Bai), became suddenly ill. I would have done anything to heal him. Sadly, it was his heart and probably a tumor. We started him on ASEA redox cell signaling supplement, but it was too late. We decided to put him down.
This happened within 7 days. It was very fast. When everything was said and done, I had 3 bottles of ASEA left and a serious hole in my heart. So, I decided to try ASEA myself. After all, I wasn’t going to let them go to waste!
I remember my first dose of ASEA. I didn’t expect it to do much. I’m really a skeptic at heart. Anyhow, that first dose was after we put Bai down. My heart had been hurting for a few days. It was the kind of pain you feel when you’ve lost your best friend and the world isn’t as happy as it once was. Everything is a little darker.
After the first 2 oz cup, the pain in my chest lifted. I was still sad, but the pain in my heart was gone. This was my first ASEA win. It was a small enough win that of course I figured it was all in my head. What good/anxious skeptic wouldn’t? But, I kept taking it. I still had 3 bottles. 🙂
Over the next few weeks, I was taking 4 oz per day and I noticed several things emotionally. 1st and foremost, my anxiety started to improve. I wasn’t worrying about what I said in a conversation 3 months ago. I wasn’t worrying about my family dying while I wasn’t with them. I was able to breathe. Not physically – I mean I was obviously physically breathing – but emotionally I could breathe. I felt freer/lighter.
Still this must be a coincidence, right?
2-3 months after starting ASEA, my major attacks have stopped. I haven’t had one since. My thoughts have cleared. I don’t have racing thoughts. My worries are “normal” and controlled. I don’t think about the conversation I had 3 months ago where I put my foot in my mouth. I move on. I keep moving forward (❤Disney – Meet the Robinsons).
Most of this blog post discusses my anxiety. My depression was always minor and I often referred to it (in my head) as anxiety’s evil friend. The two went hand in hand. As my anxiety improved, my depression disappeared.
6 months taking ASEA and I’m more balanced than I was when I started. This alone was enough to keep me on ASEA, but this is only a small part of my experience. I’ll be doing a few more posts with my physical benefits and my dog Remy’s story!
Please note, I’m not trying to sell you ASEA. I am a distributor of sorts and if this sounds like something you want to try, I’m here to help answer questions, but that isn’t my goal. Anxiety/depression aren’t talked about enough. If you don’t have them, you probably won’t understand how debilitating they can be or how much they affect your loved ones, but anxiety isn’t rare.
