Book Review: Call Me Crazy

Call Me Crazy by Melanie Harlow

Funny, sweet and sexy

This was a surprisingly enjoyable quick read! I couldn’t put it down!

Quick re-cap:

Enzo and Bianca enter into a marriage of convenience. Each has a personal goal to achieve. Enzo wants to inherit his family’s business. Bianca wants to have a child. But when they start to develop real feelings for each other things get interesting.

My two cents:

This was a hate turned love story of childhood acquaintances, which made it extra fun, because there was a good backstory between Enzo and Bianca. Plus, the Italian heritage was very well portrayed.

There was a lot of great dialogue and funny parts in the book. I loved that Bianca was an Edward Cullen fan and there was even a vampire scene Enzo tried to create for her. It was horribly, but adorably incorrect. 😂

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book with actual sex scenes. These did NOT disappoint!! You might want to have some relief near by after reading them 😉

Give this book a try! I think you’ll enjoy it as much as I have! Happy reading y’all!!

Hallmark Movie Review: Baby, it’s Cold Inside

Image via: https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/baby-its-cold-inside

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Oh Hallmark! You cunning puppeteer! It’s been a while since I’ve seen two women go after the same man on a Hallmark movie. The previews didn’t give away this plot twist. Here’s a quick movie re-cap and my two cents 🙂

Movie Re-cap

Hannah is an accident prone travel agent who is sent to an ice hotel to see if it should be recommended for winter getaways. While in the hotel, Hannah meets Ben (the owner/creator) of the ice hotel. Throw in a jealous employee, a secret hotel reviewer, and the promise of a job promotion to lure Hannah away and we have a complete Hallmark movie.

My Two Cents

So…I’m half and half on this movie. There are a lot of cute parts (mostly due to Hannah’s clumsiness), but there were a few head-scratching moments too.

The very opening scene in the movie kinda irked me. Hannah is scheduled to go on a cruise with her best friend, Phoebe, and family. Her boss tells her to cancel so she can go on the trip to the ice hotel instead. Her boss also insinuates that if she doesn’t go, then she may not be eligible for the upcoming promotion.

I wouldn’t want to work for a company that treated me like that. If I’ve worked hard enough to be considered for the promotion, then this one trip shouldn’t make a difference when I have a planned trip with my family. Why was Hannah so willing to give up her trip with her family? Stick up for yourself Hannah!

It worked out for her in the end, but it bothered me that she allowed herself to be pressured into dropping her family and friend to go onto the trip her boss requested.

Moving past this, I enjoyed some parts about this movie. There was so much art and nature! The ice hotel itself was gorgeous! The rooms were decorated with beautiful designs and sculptures. There was a walking path with lights, northern lights, and they incorporated glass blowing. GLASS BLOWING! I love glass blowing!

Despite everything I enjoyed about this movie, it was just okay. I like strong female leads and more humor. I felt Hannah’s lack of self-confidence was a turn-off and the movie wasn’t quite funny enough to be a serious romcom. Give it a try if you’re bored, but I wouldn’t seek this one out. Happy movie watching y’all!

Book Review: The Accidental Text

The Accidental Text by Becky Monson
Grab a box of tissues!

Quick re-cap…

Maggie’s mother dies shortly before the book starts and she texts her mother’s old phone number for several months when on day someone responds. Maggie learns that Chase has her Mom’s old number and they form a bond.

My two cents…

Grab at least one box (maybe two) of tissues if you want to read this book. I cried through the first few chapters and the last. I cried so hard in the beginning that I seriously questioned continuing, but I was hooked.

Maggie is relatable and kind. Chase is equally sweet and kind. They make the perfect couple.

The adventures they go on together are amazing. I feel like I should get out there and do more adventures while I’m still on Earth 😉 Maybe not the sky diving though. Heights aren’t exactly my thing.

There isn’t any sex in this book, so it’s safe for any age that wants to read it. It also isn’t lacking anything without it.

Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t stop. It was very entertaining. I hope you give it a try. Happy reading y’all!

Product Review: Steam Table Pans and Raw Feeding

Pay no mind to the water spots 🙂

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m not sure if I mentioned this before, but we raw feed. We’ve been raw feeding for a little less than a year and are in no way experts.

This post is not meant to persuade you to raw feed. If it’s something you’re interested in learning more about, I can help find you resources, but I really want to talk about the containers we use for raw feeding.

I will talk a little about what raw feeding is, why we raw feed, etc., because it plays a significant role in why we use these containers, but I also want to cover these awesome containers we use to store our meat in.

If you aren’t interested in the raw feeding information, feel free to scroll down to the bottom 😉

What is raw feeding?

We provide uncooked meat, organs, bones, vegetables, fruit, eggs, etc. to our dogs to support a balanced raw/whole food diet.

Why??

Many years ago, Bailey’s breeder started raw feeding. I saw her raise several litters on a raw diet. I was interested at the time, but to be honest, it seemed like a lot of work and very overwhelming and kinda gross.  😝

A little less than a year ago we made a decision to bring 2 new puppies into our lives because our current dogs were almost 12. We reached out to two breeders we know. One was Bailey’s breeder. Neither had litters at the time, but we kept in touch. Eventually, both breeders were expecting litters within weeks of each other.

Bailey’s breeder was expecting to raw feed the new litter. I told her that I wasn’t sure about raw feeding, but I wasn’t against it either. She provided me with a lot of resources and information about raw feeding.

Jeff and I discussed it A LOT. We watched as Remy grew and started eating raw food. We saw him eat his first chicken bone. While it was still a little gross, it was also incredibly natural looking. It was a lot different watching him eat raw vs kibble.

Jeff and I had a lot of feeding challenges with Ella and Bailey over the years. Ella would throw up almost any kibble we fed her. Bailey wouldn’t throw up, but he was very gassy and his stomach often made lots of noises. Remembering all our issues trying to find a single food two dogs could both eat, we decided to give the raw feeding a try.

The First Raw Feeding

OMG! I was so scared! It was like having a baby all over again and not knowing if they were eating enough or the right foods. Was I doing the right thing or was I going to permanently hurt them?? All normal parenting concerns 🙂

Puppy Remy with a chicken thigh

The first week feeding Remy was surprisingly easy. I cut up his meat, we fed him until he was full, and that was it. It was so simple that I felt like I must be doing something wrong. Remy’s breeder was super helpful and supportive and ensured me I was doing everything right. It was great having her as a resource!! 🙂

6 weeks later Leo joined Remy and took to raw feeding naturally. He was a lot smaller than Remy when we got him, but even he was able to each small pieces of chicken with bone by 9 weeks. We now had two puppies raw feeding.

Puppy Leo enjoying one of his first meals

A few months later we unexpectedly lost Bailey. I’m not going to write more about it (I don’t feel like crying today), but you can read about it here in my post on ASEA and emotions. In my heart, I felt his diet contributed to his health issue and his unexpected passing.

This doubled my resolve to raw feed the puppies. Plus, by the time we lost Bailey, we had gotten use to the raw feeding and it was undeniably easy.

How?

We buy our raw meat and freeze it. I’ve learned over time how much food our two puppies go through and make sure to have enough in the freezer. We thaw what we need and cut it to edible sizes for the pups. Then we store the thawed food in the stainless steel steam table pans.

The Pans!

These pans are the perfect size. Each pan holds one 10 lb bag of thawed chicken quarters. The bags of chicken we buy happen to come in 10 lb bags 🙂 What a coincidence!

The pans fit on the bottom shelf of our fridge and are narrow enough to leave plenty of additional room for other food. In fact, we can put both pans side by side on the shelf and still have half a shelf. My fridge is close to 30 sq feet, so I can also fit one horizontal and one perpendicular behind it. If your fridge is smaller, this might not work.

We’ve been using the same two pans for about a year now and they don’t show any significant wear and tear. The lids fit well and are a must for storing the chicken. Plus they’re easy to clean.

My only critique is that I wish they were a tad thicker. They are thin enough that if I’m not careful I can give myself a paper-like cut while cleaning them. I’ve only done that once or twice in the past year and I think this is more due to my klutziness than the quality of the pans 😉

You can use the link below to buy the pans on Amazon. Using this link doesn’t increase your cost, but it does help support my site. Happy shopping!

Book Review: A Man Worth Shaving For

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Man Worth Shaving For by Michelle Pennington
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Surprisingly WORTH IT!

I wasn’t expecting much from this book. I’ve never read this author and if you follow my reviews, you’ll know I don’t read what the book is about before I start reading (unless I’ve discussed it with the author), but the title caught my attention. I’m glad it did, because this book was surprisingly fantastic and totally WORTH IT!

Tessa is a curvy girl who works for a company that specializes in intimate clothing for women of different body shapes and sizes. This company is called…wait for it…Booms and Nibbles (B&N)…LOL.

I couldn’t read that without laughing every single time. In fact, I laughed throughout most of this book.

B&N is in trouble, so the owner hires a consultant, Logan. Logan and Tessa work together to reorganize the company and put people where they can be best utilized. While working together, they realize they have a connection that can’t be ignored.

This is such a good and funny read! I highly recommend it. It’s a shorter read, which can sometimes work against a book, but in this case, it was perfect.

I would have liked to read an epilogue of a few months or years in the future, but it’s okay that it didn’t have it. Everything tied up nicely.

There’s no actual sex in this book. The most you get is some intense kissing scenes. Yet I had butterflies while reading the whole book!

If romcoms are your thing, add this to your worth it list. Happy reading y’all!!

Hallmark Movie Review: Hearts Down Under

Image via: https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/hearts-down-under

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

I’ve watched this movie 3 times. All 3 times I get side tracked and find something better to do. And by better I mean, laundry, dishes, pet my friend Rem, etc. Anyhow, I’ve finally managed to watch the whole movie, but I’m left underwhelmed. Here’s a quick re-cap and my full two cents 🙂 Enjoy!

Movie Re-cap

Caroline’s Aunt dies and leaves her a restaurant in Australia. She travels to Australia and meets Cook (Simon Cook). Caroline has her own restaurant in New York, so she wants to fix up the Australia restaurant and sell it, but she ends up enjoying spending time with Cook. After the restaurant is fixed up, she needs to make the decision to sell or not to sell 🙂

My Two Cents

I feel like there have been a lot of chef movies in the past few months. There’s been Mix Up in the Mediterranean and Right in Front of Me recently. If I stretch, then As Luck Would Have It kind of counts, because he made liquor and there were cooking lessons. Maybe more? I’m not sure, but I think I’m a little tired of chefs.

One thing I’m not tired of though? Hot accents! I can listen to Tim Ross (Cook) talk all day. It didn’t hurt that he also had a rare half naked moment with no shirt! Woot Woot!

Spatch, Caroline’s Aunt’s dog, should definitely receive an award for his role. He was super adorable! Honestly, he stole most of the movie. I really liked Caroline’s insta-bond with him. I often wonder if dogs can smell family members. Like do we all have a similar scent? It makes me think of Vampires vs. Werewolves 😉

Sorry, back on track…

I don’t know y’all. There really wasn’t much else worth mentioning. I enjoyed all the beach shots and wish I could walk along the beach or go fishing.

Overall

This movie was cute and funny at parts – I’m totally going to steal the, “I have to go wash my cat” after looking at my imaginary watch line sometime – but overall it was lacking that IT factor. There were too many parts where I found myself bored.

I think you should watch it and let me know what you think? Am I having a crabby/off day? Should I try it again in a few weeks and see if I like it more? Leave a comment and let me know! Happy movie watching y’all!

Product Review: Oral B Smart Clean 360

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Have you tried an electric toothbrush?

I didn’t until about a month ago. Now I’m asking myself…why on Earth did I wait so long?! This thing is amazing! I can’t wait to show my dentist my extra clean teeth!!

What makes this toothbrush special? Why did I try it? I’ll cover that and more below 🙂

What is this toothbrush?

The Oral B Smart Clean 360 is an electric toothbrush. It uses a rotating head to clean teeth better than a manual brush. This version has a red light sensor that activates when you push too hard and a timer that vibrates every 30 seconds, so you can use the brush for 30 seconds on each quarter of your mouth.

Why did I pick this one?

Honestly…I chose this because Jeff did. Haha. I know, that’s very scientific, but hear me out.

Jeff did some online researching and first tried a Sonic brush. Neither of us cared for the high pitched noise that brush made. On top of the noise, Jeff didn’t like the feeling of the brush against his teeth.

After trying to use the brush for about two weeks, Jeff gave up and returned it for the Oral B brush. He’s been happy ever since.

See, I let Jeff be the guinea pig. 🙂 That’s par for the course in our relationship. Hehe.

First Impressions

The very first time I turned on the brush I couldn’t believe how strong the vibration was. I pressed it against my skin to see what the light looked like. It’s a bright red light. It should be easily visible if it goes off in your mouth. I’ve never pushed that hard while actually brushing though.

After testing the light, I stuck it in my mouth and promptly giggled like a toddler being tickled to death. I could barely even touch my teeth with it. All I managed to do was move it around in my mouth and every once in a while I would kind of barely touch a tooth.

Jeff told me to stick it out, because he had similar issues in the beginning too. Funny, but I didn’t notice him giggling like the tickle monster was attacking him! I guess I’m just special like that 😉

It took me about 1-2 weeks to fully adjust to the vibrating mouth issue. Once that resolved, I noticed how clean my teeth were compared to my manual brush.

A Month or Two Later

Over the past month or two I’ve been using the new brush regularly. Sadly (or maybe not sadly), I’m not giggling anymore. I’m able to fully touch the brush head to each tooth without issue.

My teeth seem cleaner than ever! Yay!

I’m really impressed with the battery life. I think I’ve only charged it twice since I’ve gotten it. Too bad the battery on my cell phone doesn’t last this long.

I’m less impressed with the fact that I drool like a teething baby while I use this brush. My family would tell you I drool a lot anyway, but seriously, the tooth paste and spit pour out of my mouth while I’m brushing with this! Luckily Jeff has seen me in many worse states and he still loves me. Haha.

Overall

This is a great buy! I picked it up on sale from Costco in a two pack for about $80. I haven’t needed to replace the brush heads yet, but it was easy enough to put on the first one, so I’m sure switching will be just as easy.

If you don’t have a Costco membership or want to purchase from Amazon you can use the link below. Using this link doesn’t increase your cost, but it does help support my site. Happy shopping!

Movie Review: Raya and the Last Dragon

Image via: https://movies.disney.com/raya-and-the-last-dragon

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

W-O-W! Disney delivers with Raya and the Last Dragon!

I’ve posted before that we are big Disney fans. I REALLY LOVE Disney. We have Disney+, but I won’t normally shell out extra money for Premier access.

Well, Disney sucked me in with this one. The previews looked so good and winter in Wisconsin is very…cold and boring. So, on a particularly cold snowy day, I bought this movie.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The colors and graphics in this movie are absolutely beautiful! It has a Moana-ish and Star Wars feels in the characters and landscape. Sadly, there isn’t the Moana music 🙁 But it’s okay, because it doesn’t need it.

The story sucked me and my 4 year old in right away. This story is about a land where humans and dragons in peace live together until an evil force attempts to destroy everything. The final dragons band together and place all their magic in a single gem that saves the the world, but divides the humans. 500 years later, the humans fight over who controls the gem and it’s broken in the process. When the gem breaks, the evil returns. Now Raya seeks to find Sisu, the last dragon, and save her father.

SISU

Sisu, the last dragon, is one of my favorite characters of all. She helps guide Raya on her quest to restore humanity and the dragons. She’s young, but wise in so many ways. She has the best manners!

Really Jamie? Manners? Yes! I feel like we’re at risk of losing these manners in today’s world. Did I just say that? I must be getting older.

Anyhow, Sisu constantly talks about bringing presents to the chiefs of the different lands. That’s what my Mom always taught me. Bring a gift when you visit someone. 🙂 Sisu says that’s a way of saying I can trust you, can you trust me? Trust is a big theme of the movie.

Also, Siso always tries to compliment people when she meets them. She ate Raya’s terrible jerky, but complimented her on it regardless. Then she complimented Namaari and her big cats despite Namaari obviously wanting to attack them.

OVERALL

This movie was well worth the extra movie! My daughter and I have watched it at least a dozen times. I cry EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Yup, it wouldn’t be a really good Disney movie if I didn’t cry at least once during the movie. On a really “good” day, this movie will make me cry in at least three different spots.

I love the themes in the movie and how Raya meets people and brings them together to be their own family. How she learns to trust others. There are so many good lessons here.

Definitely see this movie! It’s planned to release to Disney+ June 4, 2021. So, consider the cost/benefit to waiting. I personally feel it’s worth the money even now. It was that good. Happy movie watching y’all!

Midlife Ghost Hunter by Shannon Mayer
Hot, steamy, and not finished yet

I have lost so much sleep to reading this series! It’s hot, sexy (without actual sex), and I can’t put it down!

Breena is arrested for Alan’s murder. She must escape prosecution and head to New Orleans to save her Gran. She must decide who are true friends and who aren’t. If she decides wrong, she might be facing her death. If she decides right, maybe she will create her own family and find love.

I’m constantly amazed at how hot and bothered this book can make someone without there being actual sex. Congrats to the author for that! In fact, congrats to the author for allowing me to feel every emotion Breena feels. I cried when she cried, worried when she worried, and laughed when she laughed.

There isn’t a dull moment here. I couldn’t put it down. I stayed up late, woke up early, and read every second I could. I can’t wait to read the final book in the series! I really hope Breena and Crash wind up together.

This book has so many funny moments! My husband often asked me what I was laughing at. I love that Breena is a little older than me and I can totally relate to her accidentally almost peeing every other minute. When I feel a sneeze coming I run for the toilet, hoping I make it before I actually sneeze. It’s a real thing folks.

This is a must read story for anyone who enjoys fantasy romcoms. I hope you give it a try! Happy reading y’all!!

Hallmark Movie Review: Right in Front of Me

Image via: https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/right-in-front-of-me

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m a die hard Pretty Little Liars fan, which by proxy makes me a Janel Parrish fan 🙂 I was dying to see Janel in a RomCom role and I’m super happy she didn’t disappoint. She’s adorable!

Now that you know about my girl crush on Janel, we need to talk about her movie costar. Who is Marco Grazzini and why haven’t I noticed him before? He was super cute in this movie. His role was perfect and I hope Hallmark pairs these two again!

Movie Re-cap

Carly (Janel) is a Bridal Stylist – not to be confused with a wedding planner. Say what? I didn’t know a thing like this existed. A bridal stylist ensures everyone wearing a dress or tux is wearing something they love and look great in, but she doesn’t get involved in the wedding details or designing the wedding itself.

Nick (Marco) is the chef at the hotel Carly is spending the weekend relaxing at with her friend.

Unbeknownst to Carly, there is a wedding happening at said hotel and the women she went to college with are all there for the wedding. Carly winds up helping the bride with some stylist tips and is invited to the wedding and wedding activities.

Carly finds out her college crush, Matt, is also in town for the wedding. While Carly explores what could have been she also finds out what could be with Nick.

My Two Cents

For the second week in a row, Hallmark hits the spot with a movie that you can turn on and watch any time. There’s nothing new or different about this movie. It’s a classic Hallmark RomCom, but these two have good chemistry and the movie is cute.

There were a lot of parts I enjoyed, but my favorite was probably when Carly convinced Nick and Matt to do the chicken wing challenge. While the two men were practically in tears from the heat of the wings, Carly gloatingly consumed hers to beat the challenge. This was so great!

Oh and Nick remembering to include the tiny fork with Carly’s dessert? Be still my heart! Men like this are keepers! They will always want to make you happy and they will remember these little things that make you happy. When you find a man like this, you hold on tight 🙂

This isn’t going to be one of those movies that you love so much you tell every person you know, but it will be one of those movies you are happy to watch and re-watch when ever you can. I hope you give this a try and enjoy it! Happy movie watching y’all.

Midlife Demon Hunter by Shannon Mayer
The excitement keeps coming!

Set aside some serious binge reading time for this series. It sucks you in and won’t let you go!

A very quick overview:

Bree accepts a job with a goblin. Bree meets with the council and befriends an old man who they keep around, but don’t think much of. Bree and Crash get closer. The King of the goblins steals her friends and Bree needs to get them back.

There is action to the very last word. I really couldn’t put this one down. The only downside are all the characters. There are so many that sometimes I forget who is who.

I absolutely love how this author writes from Bree’s point of view. It’s like Bree is telling us this story as she’s living it. It’s more intense than a normal first person narrative. I feel what Bree is feeling. When her heart soars, mine is right there with her. And when she nearly has her heart broken, I want to go drown my sorrows in whiskey along with her.

This is a fantastic series! Seriously dedicate some time to it. Happy reading y’all!!

Hallmark Movie Review: As Luck Would Have It

Image via: https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/as-luck-would-have-it

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Instead of men vs. women, this is Kilabbey vs. Lindsey and every minute is fun and enjoyable!

Lindsey works for a company that is trying to buy a castle property that the town Kilabbey, Ireland owns. They send her to Ireland to try and convince the town to sell. Lindsey happens to be there during the Matchmaking Festival and when the town council declines her offer, she decides to stay and participate in the Festival.

Lindsey runs into Brennan almost immediately upon arriving in Kilabbey. He also happens to be on the town council and becomes Lindsey’s nemesis who tries to ruin everything she tries to accomplish. But we all know there’s a thin line between love and hate. 😉

Here’s my two cents…

This enemies to lovers romance hits all the right spots for me. There’s just enough love/hate tension to keep me engaged and entertained. I loved when Brennan dumped way too much salt into Lindsey’s bread. Then there was Lindsey’s sassy attitude while playing hurling.

Even though the town council started out lightly hazing Lindsey, they wound up seeing the good in her. The most important member of the council, Brennan, wasn’t immune to Lindsey’s charms. Brennan didn’t realize it at first, but he kept seeking her out, because he obviously had feelings for her from the beginning. He was adorable.

Beyond Brennan and Lindsey’s romance were the amazing sites. The backgrounds were beautiful! And that castle?! OMG! I love castles like that! They have such history and beauty. One day maybe I’ll be able to see one in person. In the mean time, I love watching them from the comfort of my couch.

Overall, there aren’t any surprises in this movie. It’s a familiar plot with cute little jokes and good chemistry. And of course, we have a happily ever after. This will be one of the movies you can start watching at any point and enjoy. If it’s on, I definitely suggest giving it a try.

BETTER THAN THE FIRST!/strong>

Wow wow wow! OMG – I’m going to combust from all the sexual tension between Crash and Breena!

I thought book 1 was really good, but this was even better. It had that can’t eat, can’t sleep, IT factor and I couldn’t put it down!

Quick overview: Crash buys Breena’s grandma’s house and asks her to move in to keep Feish company while he does a job. Breena accepts a job from a Fae Queen and forms her own version of the Hollows with her friends. She also stands up to a few foes and discovers a little bit about her own family lineage.

Really this is a MUST READ series. I hope the next book continues to improve on the really good foundation the first 2 books have provided. I need to stop writing so I can start reading the next book. Happy reading y’all!!

Hallmark Movie Review: One Perfect Wedding

Image via: https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/one-perfect-wedding

Rating: ⭐⭐

Jack turner is bald and totally rocking it! That (plus the peak of his abs) are the best parts of the movie. I’m sure there will be a lot of people who like this movie a lot, unfortunately, I’m not one of them.

I’m not sure what it is about this series, but I haven’t been able to get into any of them. On Friday, Hallmark played One Winter Weekend and One Winter Proposal and I tried, but couldn’t watch either.

Now I’m sitting here trying to watch One Perfect Wedding and I can’t concentrate on it. Ben is too secretive and Cara is too suspicious of everything he does. I don’t feel like a relationship would work with these two long term. They don’t seem like they’re in sync with each other.

There were a few things I liked. I really enjoyed the Bride vs Groom game. I love games like that! Plus, I really liked the Max and Clara sideline story. It was super sweet and cute. These few things saved this movie from a 1 star review.

What did you all think of this movie? Did you like it?

Feel free to give this movie a try. Personally, I would skip it. Look back through some of my past reviews to find some 5 star movie reviews. Chasing Waterfalls, It was Always You, or Taking a Shot at Love were three more recent ones I really enjoyed.

Product Review: ASEA and Eyes

BACKGROUND

I’ve written about ASEA Redox Molecules and Emotions, told you a story about my (and Jeff’s) first few weeks, and my friend Rem and his mysterious eye experience. Now I’d like to take some time to tell you about my eyes.

I’ve seen a lot of changes in myself since starting ASEA in August 2020. One of the more surprising changes over the past few months has been in my vision. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was about 13 or 14 years old. I primarily have an astigmatism, but I also have a slight distance issue.

On top of the glasses for a prescription, I also have an eye condition, which causes cuts on my eyes in the mornings when I open my eyes. The pain from these cuts is in the top 5 worst pains I’ve ever experienced. So I will do anything to prevent these cuts.

These days I wear the Manta Slim Fit eye mask. Since wearing the mask, I haven’t had any issues. Yay!

My Prescription History

2014 was the last time I had glasses made. This was a few years after my son was born. That prescription held fairly steady until 2019, when I needed new glasses. At that time, my prescription had gotten a little worse.

In July 2019, I attempted to have Costco make glasses for me. That was a trip! I’m not easy to make glasses for. I have a narrow head, smaller face, and crooked/uneven ears. I usually wind up looking for petite or teen glasses, because adult glasses look like clown glasses.

I had Costco try to make the glasses twice, but they didn’t come out right and I never wore them. My prescription wasn’t much worse, so I dealt with it. I loved my previous glasses.

February 2021

Around December 2021 I remember mentioning to Jeff that I was seeing really well. He shook his head and said I was crazy 🤪  My prescription can’t improve.

In late January/early February, I started having eye issues. At first I just noticed my eyes hurting a lot. My right eye more than my left. Unsure what the issue was, I decided to try using ASEA as eye drops (3 drops per day). This helped my eyes feel better, but they were still bothering me.

Eventually, I realized the pain was only when I was wearing my glasses. It felt like my eyes were straining with my glasses on. I found myself taking my glasses off more than putting them on. So, I decided to make an eye doctor appointment.

Sadly, due to insurance changes, I needed to find a new optometrist. My new optometrist took the prescription off my 2014 glasses and compared it to his new prescription and told me the right eye had improved about a click and the left was a half click improvement.

Say what?! Yup! An improvement from my 2014 prescription. The one that was weaker than my 2019 prescription. He said he noticed the scaring from my eye condition, but no other conditions that would cause my prescription to improve randomly.

Today

Now I have new glasses. It took some time to adjust to my new prescription, but now I like the new glasses 🙂

The skeptic in me says maybe this is a coincidence, but I’m keeping an open mind. After all, I’ve seen so many other changes, it’s hard for me to discount this coincidence.

One thing I’m certain about is that I’m extremely grateful for these redox molecules and I’m looking forward to see what else the future holds with them.

Please note, I’m not trying to sell you ASEA. I am a distributor of sorts and if this sounds like something you want to try, I’m here to help answer questions, but that isn’t my goal.
